Dr Daniel Asfaw Erku is a health economist working at the intersection of economic evidence and national health policy.
He holds a PhD in Applied Health Economics from the University of Queensland and serves as Senior Technical Advisor for Health Systems Strengthening, Health Economics and Evidence Synthesis at EPIC for Health Systems, where he leads health financing and priority-setting work for the Ethiopian Ministry of Health, WHO and the World Bank. He previously directed health technology assessment and market access programmes across low- and middle-income countries at Management Sciences for Health in Washington, DC. His methodological work spans cost-effectiveness and budget-impact modelling, discrete choice experiments, real-world evidence and evidence synthesis, and he served on Ethiopia's HTA Institutionalization Taskforce.
